At what levels do social structures operate in Giddens’ theory of structuration?

Structuration theory seeks to bridge structure and agency. The concept of “structure” can appear abstract.I want to understand the levels at which structures operate in this framework.

From my experience teaching social theory, Giddens treats structure as operating through rules and resources embedded in social practices. I have seen students initially search for macro or micro levels, but structuration deliberately cuts across that divide. I would recommend understanding structure as reproduced whenever actors draw on shared rules in everyday action. Structures exist not above society, but through ongoing social practices.
