From my experience reading environmental sociology, social constructivism does not deny material ecological problems but focuses on how they are defined and prioritized. I have seen research show that issues like climate change gain meaning through politics, media, and expert debate. I would recommend using constructivism to understand why some environmental risks receive attention while others remain invisible. It helps explain conflict, policy delays, and public disagreement.
