Are there scholarly studies that examine isomorphic patterns of behavior in humans?

Isomorphism is discussed widely in organizational studies.I’m curious whether similar patterns are studied at the human behavioral level. This seems relevant across sociology, psychology, and anthropology.

From my experience reading interdisciplinary research, isomorphic behavior is widely studied, though not always under that exact label. I have seen it examined through social learning theory, institutional mimicry, and conformity studies. I would recommend looking beyond organizational sociology to psychology and cultural studies, where similar dynamics appear as imitation or norm diffusion. Together, these literatures show that patterned similarity is a recurring feature of human social life.
