To perform a multi-group analysis (MGA) for a categorical moderator (e.g., gender), first use the data grouping function to split your sample. Run the PLS algorithm for each group. Then, use the MGA comparison feature, which employs a permutation test or bootstrapping to assess whether the differences between specific path coefficients across groups are statistically significant (p < 0.05). For moderating effects with continuous variables, use the interaction term approach. Typically, you create the interaction term by multiplying the standardized latent variable scores of the independent and moderator variables. Include this new interaction term as an additional predictor in your structural model. Finally, bootstrapping the model will show the significance and strength of the interaction term's path coefficient, indicating whether the moderation effect is supported.
