Research designs
Hey, I am in the 1st year of my PhD. My query is how many types of research designs are there? And what are the different types?
Please, somebody, explain.

Qualitative research: This type of research involves questions, data collected from the participant’s point of view.
Quantitative research: The objectives of the study are tested by examining the relationship between the variables in this research design.
Their respective names could easily identify the primary difference between the two. Quantitative research deals in numbers whereas, Qualitative means examining the behaviour of your population.
Mixed methods research: This research includes both qualitative and quantitative as well. As the name suggests, it’s a mixture of both the research designs.
