I want to convert thesis into a book. Can I do it on my own or should I take help from professional publishing help?

You can do it on your own. No issues with it. But remember, you can convert your thesis into book directly. You have to rewrite the section, add a few elements and also eliminate few concepts.

Lan MacgGregor is right. You have to rewrite the thesis. It should sound like a story and not merely a project report.
Some of the aspects to be added are:
1.Coherence: Your book must have an organic unity. Hence it becomes a necessity to add coherence. This will also help you find out concepts that are missing your book.
2. Index – Adding index is beneficiary because it acts as a mind map and helps you identify entities & sub entities missing in your work.
Some of the aspects to be eliminated are
1.Quotations – D not support your theory with quotations. Instead try paraphrasing.
2. Tables – Remove numbers and try summarising the table. Numbers can be annoying. Hence remove it.

You can take help from professionals rather than trying it on your own. Check out the websites offering publication help such as https://www.editingproofreading.com.my/
