Methods to measure humidity

I have used hygrometer to measure the humidity. My colleague says we can measure humidity not one but in two ways. Which are those?

Your colleague is right. You can measure humidity in two ways. These are quite different from each other. One method is called specific humidity and another is called relative humidity.

Amy, we can use specific or relative humidity methods to measure the humidity. specific humidity is the mass of water vapor present in a Kg mass of air whereas relative humidity is the amount of water vapor in the air in comparison to the maximum amount that could be present at that temperature.

Well, you can either use twisted fiber hygrometers or psychrometers.
