How can Brazilian hackers be understood from a sociological perspective?

Hackers are often portrayed through legal or security lenses.Their social organization and motivations receive less attention.I want a sociological interpretation of this phenomenon.

From my experience reading digital sociology, Brazilian hackers are best understood as a heterogeneous social group rather than a criminal category. I have seen research link hacking practices to inequality, technical skill acquisition, and political critique. I would recommend examining how local economic conditions and global digital cultures intersect. This perspective shows hacking as both a form of resistance and a pathway to professional mobility, depending on context.
