Where specifically should I look online to find digital copies of the Congressional Record?
I know they're online, but a simple search yields many commercial and aggregate sites. I need to direct my students to the official, authoritative, and complete digital source to ensure citation accuracy and reliability for their research papers.

You should direct them to two primary, free government sources. For the historical archive (from 1873 onward), the authoritative site is the U.S. Government Publishing Office's GovInfo (govinfo.gov). For the most current sessions and a very intuitive search, use the Library of Congress's Congress.gov. From my experience, I always recommend using these official .gov sites. They provide the most reliable, citable PDFs and text, and they are updated daily. Avoid commercial aggregators for this material, as the official sources are comprehensive and free. Â
