Where can the original Michael Roberts article “Military Revolution, 1560–1660” be accessed online?
I'm finalizing my literature review on early modern military historiography.
Roberts’ thesis is central, but I need to cite the original publication.
Many references point to it, but the primary text itself seems locked behind paywalls or in obscure anthologies.
A direct digital link or confirmed repository would be immensely helpful for my chapter.

I've faced this exact hurdle. Roberts' original 1956 lecture is notoriously difficult to find as a standalone digital file. I would recommend you access it through the anthology where it was most famously republished: Essays in Swedish History, published by the University of Minnesota Press. Your institution's library likely has an electronic subscription to a platform like JSTOR or ProQuest that hosts this book. Search for the book title there; the PDF scan includes the crucial article. Failing that, interlibrary loan for the physical volume is your surest bet.
