What resources exist to find fixed-term positions in astronomy?

The academic job market is opaque and time-sensitive. I want to make sure I'm not missing any key portals or strategies, especially for positions outside the most famous institutes. Where should I be looking daily, and are there any lesser-known resources that are particularly valuable for early-career astronomers?

Based on my own job search and now hiring postdocs, I would recommend a three-pronged approach. First, bookmark and check the AAS Job Register daily—it's the central, comprehensive hub. Second, subscribe to specific mailing lists like the STScI list for space astronomy or the EUROSCIENCE JOBS feed for European positions. Third, and this is critical, leverage your network. I have seen many positions advertised informally first. Tell your advisor and collaborators you're looking, as they often hear of opportunities before they are posted publicly. Set up targeted Google Scholar alerts for institutes where you'd like to work.
