the type of validity to be used to assess the internal validity depends on the nature of your study. You cannot determine just like that.

Selection of validity totally depends on the nature of the study.
However, if you want to check if the measurements of a variable in your study behaves
exactly in the same way as the variable itself then go for construct validity.
This type involves evaluating the past research with respect to various aspects of the same variable.

I want to compare the findings from a new measurement technique with that of the established
technique that measures the same variable to inspect and see if they are related. Which type of validity should I use here?

By Rajeev Answered 6 years ago

in that case you have to use concurrent validity.
Remember, often two measurements will behave in a similar manner.
But doesn’t measure the same variable. Hence be extremely careful while measuring such validity.
