The significance of 2 different values

5 years ago in Statistical Analysis By Luv Bhatia

After doing many tests I got two values which are significantly different considering the standard deviation that I calculated before. I know that some statistical tests exist but I don’t know which one I should use. Any suggestions, please.

You should choose the test depending on the type of data you have. It depends on your data, is it scale or ordinal and the data is distributed normally or not.

Ya, I agree, If the variable is continuous and the data is normally distributed, then, you must use T-test for two independent samples, otherwise, you can use non-parametric test
