Is there currently an active call for papers for a journal or conference focusing on the theme of pleasure in Early Modern art?
I've just completed an article on sensuality in Dutch still-life painting and heard a rumor about a relevant CFP. I need to confirm if this opportunity exists, find the deadline, and identify the hosting institution or journal to see if my work is a good fit.

From my experience navigating the field, I would recommend you actively search several key places rather than rely on rumors. First, check the websites of major societies like the College Art Association (CAA), Renaissance Society of America (RSA), or Historians of Netherlandish Art. Second, monitor academic list-servs such as H-Announce or H-Arthist. Finally, browse CFP aggregator sites like UPenn's CFP list. While I am not aware of a specific, current CFP on that exact phrase, themes like "the senses," "desire," or "embodiment" in Early Modern visual culture are frequently solicited. Proactively searching these resources is the best method.
