Is there a ‘green trickle-down’ theory to replace traditional economic trickle-down ideas?
I am interested in alternative economic theories and want to know whether a “green trickle-down” effect exists, where environmental benefits generated at the top of the economy spread to wider society.

From my experience, there is no automatic green trickle-down effect comparable to traditional economic theories. I have seen that environmental benefits often remain concentrated unless policies actively redistribute them. I would recommend deliberate mechanisms such as inclusive green jobs, accessible clean energy, and public investment in green infrastructure. Without these, green growth can widen inequalities. A credible green development model must therefore be designed to spread environmental and economic benefits intentionally, not assume they will diffuse on their own.
