Validity is important for any research. If the key findings of your research are not valid then they make no sense to our study.
If it doesn’t measure what is intended to measure, then the findings cannot be utilised to answer your research question (which the aim of your study).

validity is definitely important for any study. But remember, your study may be valid
while measuring an aspect it need not be valid while measuring some other aspect.

Both validity and reliability are important. Keerthi & Parul have already mentioned why validity is important.
Here I will explain why reanility is vital. Reliability tests if your study fulfills its aims and hypothesis.
It also ensures that the findings are due to the study. If your study is reliable it will have positive implications and
also be used to improve any issues. Visit https://katepsuc7d.wordpress.com/2011/10/14/why-is-reliability-important/ to know more.
