As suggested, you can use comparative research design. However, depending on your type of study you have to choose 
if you want to use comparative quantitative ir comparative qualitative design. 
Quantitative comparative research design involves manipulation of independent variable. 
On the other hand, qualitative comparative research design doesn’t involve any kind of manipulation of variables.

There are two types of comparative studies. Descriptive and normative. 
Descriptive is designed to explain and difference between the groups. 
Normative groups describe the cases using at least one evaluation criteria.
