Blockchain's core strengths—decentralization, immutability, and transparency—solve specific trust problems. It's great for scenarios where you don't want a single entity in control. Applications include: managing digital identities you own (not a company), creating a tamper-proof ledger for software supply chains (proving no one inserted malware), securing IoT device networks with decentralized authentication, and building hijack-resistant DNS systems. It's not a fix-all, but it's perfect for ensuring integrity and provenance without a central point of failure.
