I'm trying to get a sense of where Comparative Literature is headed. What are the "hot" new theories and approaches that scholars are talking about these days?

The field is expanding in exciting, interdisciplinary directions. The big trends are moving beyond traditional human-centered analysis (posthumanism), actively challenging Eurocentric canons (decolonial and southern theory), and exploring literature's relationship with the environment (ecocriticism). There's also a huge surge in using digital tools for analysis (digital humanities) and a focus on global, multilingual literatures rather than just Western classics. It's a very dynamic moment.
