What theoretical developments are currently shaping comparative literature today?

Comparative literature has always been methodologically fluid.Recent debates suggest a rethinking of comparison itself.I want to understand which theories are redefining the field now.

From my experience working in comparative literature, current theory focuses less on comparing stable units and more on tracking movement and relation. I have seen translation studies, world literature, and postcolonial theory reshape what comparison means. I would recommend thinking of the field as relational and dynamic rather than taxonomic. These developments help the discipline remain relevant in an interconnected and unequal global landscape.
