What’s a good review paper to understand Multi-Criteria Decision-Making (MCDM) models?

If I’m new to MCDM, which review articles give a clear, big-picture overview of the main models and how to choose between them?

A widely cited starting point is Triantaphyllou’s “Multi-Criteria Decision Making: From Early History to the 21st Century”, which lays out the evolution of MCDM and compares major methods. For more recent overviews, survey papers in the European Journal of Operational Research are very useful—they group methods like AHP, TOPSIS, and PROMETHEE and explain when each one makes sense in practice.
