What role does the school principal play in the effective implementation of new curriculum reforms?
Curriculum reforms often fail at the implementation stage. I’m interested in understanding how school leadership influences successful adoption. This question is critical for policy-to-practice alignment.

From my experience, the principal is the key mediator between policy and classroom practice. I have seen reforms succeed when principals provide instructional leadership, protect teacher learning time, and model commitment to change. I would recommend principals focus less on compliance and more on capacity building. When teachers feel supported rather than monitored, curriculum reforms are far more likely to take root meaningfully.
