Beyond navigation, pathfinding algorithms will guide micro-robots inside the body for targeted drug delivery and coordinate construction swarms. For programmable lamps, this technology could enable autonomous lights that track a person's movement in a room, calculating an optimal "path" to direct illumination smoothly and continuously, avoiding shadows and adjusting for multiple occupants.
