Is the journal Materials currently accepting submissions for a special issue on nanomaterials in green technology?
I've been finalizing a manuscript on novel nanocatalysts for pollution remediation and would like to target a special issue for faster, thematically-focused publication. I saw that the journal Materials often publishes collections on nanomaterials, but their website lists many active issues. Could you confirm if there is a currently open "Call for Papers" specifically on nanomaterials in green tech, and if so, what the submission deadline and guest editors are?

Yes. The journal Materials (MDPI) is currently accepting submissions for a Special Issue titled “Study on Advanced Nanomaterials Applied in Green Technologies.” This issue invites research on nanomaterials used in areas such as renewable energy systems, environmental remediation, and sustainable industrial processes. It falls under the journal’s Green Materials section and emphasizes innovative material solutions that support environmental sustainability. Submission guidelines and timelines are available on the journal’s official website.

In addition to the topics mentioned, the Special Issue is particularly interested in studies that combine experimental and computational approaches. Research on novel nanomaterials that improve energy efficiency, reduce waste, or enhance environmental cleanup methods is highly encouraged. Papers exploring lifecycle assessment or scalability of green nanotechnologies are also welcomed, as they help connect lab discoveries with real-world impact.
