Is the flow of studies through the selection process illustrated with a PRISMA-ScR flow diagram (or similar)?

I'm finalizing my scoping review manuscript for submission.
My supervisors emphasized methodological rigor and transparency.
I want to confirm that using the PRISMA-ScR diagram is the contemporary best practice for visualizing the screening process, as it's crucial for reproducibility.

In my experience peer-reviewing numerous systematic and scoping reviews, the PRISMA-ScR flow diagram is not just recommended it's essential. I have seen manuscripts returned for revision solely for lacking this visual. It immediately establishes credibility by transparently showing your exclusion rationale and final yield. I would recommend integrating it directly into your results section; it's the first thing journal reviewers and readers look for to assess the rigor of your search and screening process. It transforms a opaque method into a clear, trustworthy narrative.
