Is the equilibrium condition for a hyperon star the same as for a neutron star?

Is the equilibrium condition the same when the equation of state includes hyperonic degrees of freedom as it is for a pure neutron matter equation of state?

No, the condition is more complex. Hyperon stars include additional equilibrium states for strange particles (hyperons), governed by extra conservation laws and a softer equation of state, which significantly alters the mass-radius relation and stability criteria.
