How important is student feedback when making curriculum changes or adjustments?

Student feedback is widely collected but not always meaningfully used. I’m interested in understanding its actual value in curriculum decision-making. This question is relevant for continuous curriculum evaluation practices.

From my experience, student feedback is indispensable but insufficient on its own. I have seen it highlight workload issues, sequencing problems, and relevance gaps that faculty often miss. I would recommend triangulating student feedback with learning outcomes and faculty reflection. When treated as diagnostic rather than evaluative data, student feedback becomes a powerful tool for responsive and evidence-informed curriculum change.
