How can green smart city models, Industry 4.0, and circular economy principles be integrated to build a sustainable modern city?

As a researcher working on interdisciplinary urban sustainability, I often see these concepts discussed separately.
However, real cities require integrated solutions rather than isolated models.
This question aims to understand how these frameworks can complement each other in practice.

From my experience in urban sustainability discussions, the key lies in integration rather than adoption in isolation. I have seen cities succeed when Industry 4.0 technologies provide data intelligence, green smart models guide environmental priorities, and circular economy principles close resource loops. I would recommend treating these as layers of the same system—technology enables monitoring, circularity drives efficiency, and green planning ensures social and ecological balance. When aligned, they reinforce each other instead of competing.
