Green in Manufacturing Realistic for Small Manufacturers
For a small or medium-sized manufacturer, "green manufacturing" sounds great in theory. But with thin margins, is it actually a sustainable path forward, or just an expensive PR move?

It can be genuinely sustainable, but the path isn't easy. The long-term benefits—energy cost savings, access to new markets, staying ahead of regulations—are real. The crunch is the high upfront cost for new tech and expertise. True sustainability isn't just a coat of green paint; it requires supportive policies, access to green loans/grants, and weaving circular economy principles (like recycling waste into new inputs) into the very core of the business model.
