From my experience in schools and policy contexts, I have seen that teachers engage in curriculum planning in both formal and informal ways. Formally, this occurs through subject committees, school?based curriculum teams, and professional learning communities. Informally, teachers exercise significant decision?making power through lesson design, assessment choices, and curriculum adaptation. However, the depth of engagement depends heavily on leadership culture. Schools that trust teachers as professionals tend to see more meaningful curriculum ownership and innovation.
