I am planning to employ YOLO V7 which is the recent model of deep learning

I am working on the deep learning approach for my PhD research. I am planning to employ YOLO V7 which is the recent model of deep learning. I tried to make changes in the predefined model but not exactly getting an idea on which phase I have to try this modification. I plan to incorporate an optimization strategy to this YOLO model. Can anyone suggest a better option for this modification?

It's an interesting topic which you have selected for your research. YOLO V7, as you mentioned, is a predefined model. Hence making changes in the model itself is not possible, but we can change the model weights as per the predefined criteria finalized for each YOLO version which shall result in better prediction
