Are the full archives of the U.S. Congressional Record available through online platforms?

I'm verifying sources for a longitudinal study that requires consistent access to the Record across many decades. I need to confirm if the digitization is comprehensive or if there are significant gaps that would require a trip to a physical depository library.

Yes, the archives are comprehensively available online. From my experience, the U.S. Government Publishing Office's GovInfo website is your definitive source. It hosts a complete, searchable digital archive of the Congressional Record back to its first volume in 1873, including all daily editions, indexes, and the permanent bound versions. I have used it for studies spanning over a century without needing physical copies. I would recommend it without reservation for any longitudinal work, as it provides consistent, official scans and text. No significant gaps exist for the core Record itself.
