Are co-authors accepted in energy and power systems research?

I'm working on a paper in power electronics and wondering—is co-authorship common in this field, or do people mostly publish solo?

Absolutely co-authorship is not just accepted, it's encouraged and standard. Energy and power systems research is inherently collaborative, often requiring diverse expertise in hardware, control, simulation, and applications. A well-chosen co-author brings complementary skills, strengthens the work, and improves publication chances. Solo papers exist, but collaboration is the norm. Don't go it alone if you don't have to.
