GE Aviation uses SLA-based ceramic 3D printing for turbine nozzle prototyping and tooling. For final CMC parts, they rely on a polymer-derived ceramic approach, where an SLA-printed pre-ceramic polymer is pyrolyzed into silicon-carbide-based ceramics, rather than using metal powder processes like SLS or SLM.
