High penetration of distributed generation significantly reduces overall system inertia, making power networks more sensitive to large disturbances. This can result in rapid and severe voltage and frequency fluctuations following faults or sudden load changes. Mitigation strategies include deploying grid-forming inverters, implementing synthetic inertia and fast frequency response from energy storage systems, and adopting advanced protection schemes. These measures enable selective disconnection, fault ride-through capability, and improved system resilience under high DG conditions.

From my experience engaging with recent FinTech literature, AI-driven personalization and blockchain applications beyond cryptocurrency are major insights. I have seen growing concern around regulatory adaptation, particularly under frameworks like the EU’s MiCA, as well as cybersecurity risks. I would recommend paying close attention to debates on DeFi stability and ethical data use in open banking, as these remain unresolved and highly policy-relevant research areas.
