What is known, if anything, about the construction, history, or current condition of Sruchk Castle in the Barzinge area of Iraq?

Following up on a vague reference, I'm trying to build a dossier on Sruchk Castle. If it exists, what are its key architectural features (curtain walls, towers, building material)? Is there any oral history or local tradition about who built it or its purpose (e.g., a tribal stronghold, a caravan post)? Has the site been visited by archaeologists in the last 50 years? Is it in ruins, and is it under any form of legal protection as a cultural heritage site?Following up on a vague reference, I'm trying to build a dossier on Sruchk Castle. Based on collated fragments of information, Sruchk Castle appears to be a small, local fortification likely constructed from rough-cut stone and mortar, typical of medieval Kurdish hilltop forts. Its purpose was probably tribal control over the Galal Valley and its routes. There are no published architectural plans or detailed descriptions in Western scholarship. Its current condition is presumed to be ruinous, as with many such minor sites. It is unlikely to be formally listed as a protected monument, though regional heritage laws may offer nominal coverage. The most promising path for details is to contact local historians or university departments in Duhok or Erbil, who may have recorded oral traditions or conducted student field visits. The Iraqi Ministry of Culture's archaeological atlas project might have a basic entry.
