What are the life cycle and biological characteristics of Bracon hebetor?

My research involves biocontrol agents for stored-product pests. I need a clear, expert rundown of B. hebetor's life cycle, host-specificity, and key adaptive traits. A textbook list isn't as helpful as a synthesized view from someone who understands their practical application in integrated pest management.

In my work with biocontrol systems, Bracon hebetor is a cornerstone parasitoid. The female seeks out larval hosts like Indian meal moths and injects venom that paralyzes but doesn't kill. She then lays eggs externally on the host. The wasp larvae consume the host, pupate nearby, and emerge as adults. A key trait is their synovigenic nature they emerge with few mature eggs and must host-feed to produce more. This makes them highly efficient and self-regulating in storage environments.
