From a physicalist perspective, a dead person has no perspective; reality for that entity ceases. Philosophically, it prompts questions about the nature of consciousness and subjective experience. If we consider legacy or posthumous influence, "reality" becomes the objective world as it exists independently of any single consciousness, or the lingering subjective reality held in the memories and records of the living.
