Need help in understanding the process of multiphase fluid flow (MFF) analysis to incorporate the material properties of more than two fluids in Ansys Fluent.
Hi everyone, I am currently working on Ansys Fluent to find out the material properties of three different fluids. However, I am new to it and do not know how to use the software correctly. I was told to use the VOF method but it didn’t help during the simulation.
So, I need suggestions for how I can incorporate the material properties of the inlet fluids and perform the MFF analysis in Ansys Fluent.
You can also share some other related work for reference. The help is very much appreciated.

I would like to ask a question first, have you tried using species in MODELS?
With this method, you can define more than two species. All you need to do is select the “Mixture-Template”, then select the “Material” option after which you will see the tab of “Material Type”. You can define the types and properties of the material there.
I also worked on a similar simulation case where the fluid I used was a gas mixture. I also selected the “mix” and it worked just fine for me.
I really hope this helps you too. Good Luck!
