Layers of research onion

I want to know about the research onion model and its layers. If possible please provide me the link to a good research onion website as well. I have been asked to use this model in my thesis. Please help me.

The research onion model is used to describe the stages through which you must pass while developing a research methodology. This model consists of research philosophy, approach, strategy, time horizon, and data collection layer.

Research onion consists of 1. Research philosophy – This layer determines the way a data set has been collected and utilised for a research work 2. Research approach – This layer describes the logical reasoning chosen by you and includes deductive & inductive approach. 3. Research strategies – Based on the nature, data can be qualitative and quantitative. The research strategy consists of source of the data that is collected to meet the objectives of your study. 4. Time horizon – This layer provides timeline in which research has been conducted. 5. Data collection – This layer includes the tool and method used to collect the data.
