The P vs. NP problem is a core question in classical computational complexity theory and remains unresolved. Although quantum computers can outperform classical ones for certain tasks—such as integer factorization—this does not settle the P vs. NP question. Some speculative ideas suggest that physical or quantum constraints of the universe might influence computational limits, but there is currently no accepted theoretical or experimental result that directly links the quantum nature of reality to proving whether P equals NP or not.
