How much weight does cctv footage carry in indonesian courts?

In Indonesia, if there's CCTV footage of a crime, is that enough to convict—or does the court need more?

CCTV footage is admissible under Indonesia's Electronic Information and Transactions Law (UU ITE). But admissibility isn't automatic weight. Courts require authentication: proof of chain of custody, integrity of the file, and lawful acquisition. Clear, contextual, uncorrupted footage is treated as strong corroborative evidence. But it rarely stands alone; convictions typically require support from witness testimony or other exhibits. The footage doesn't speak for itself someone must prove it's real, unaltered, and linked to the accused.
