How are multiparty politics guaranteed through constitutional or statutory provisions in your country?

This question stems from comparative constitutional research. Multiparty systems are often assumed, but legally constructed. I’m interested in how law actively sustains political competition.

From my experience, multiparty politics is usually ensured indirectly rather than by explicit guarantees. I have seen constitutions protect freedom of association, equal suffrage, and fair elections, which together sustain party pluralism. Statutory law then fills in details like party registration and campaign finance. I would recommend examining electoral thresholds and public funding rules, as these often shape how inclusive a multiparty system is in practice.
