From my experience, sustainable development is the more effective framework for buildings in the long term. I have seen green development focus mainly on environmental features like energy efficiency, while sustainable development integrates social, economic, and lifecycle considerations. I would recommend using green strategies as technical tools within a broader sustainable development approach. This ensures buildings perform well environmentally while also supporting affordability, adaptability, and long-term urban resilience.
