Can one hrtem image give me multiple d-spacings?

I have an HRTEM image of a crystalline material. Do I need a different image for every crystal plane I want to measure, or can I get multiple d-spacings from one shot?

One image is enough. HRTEM gives you a real-space picture of the lattice. Take the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) of that image—it becomes a diffraction pattern in reciprocal space. Each set of parallel lattice planes produces a pair of spots. Measure the distance between them, convert to inverse nanometers, and you've got your d-spacing. You can measure as many planes as you can resolve. One image, many spacings.
